Please Tell a Friend about this article. Invasion of my Father’s land by Evil Spirits First of all, I have to thank Almighty Creator (God, Allah, or Oba Adeda, Oba Aseda) for giving me the spiritual intuition and wisdom to know the difference between the spirit of Positivity (Good) and that of Negativity (Evil). Honestly speaking, it’s not easy for everyone to identify these two spirits, unless one is spiritually developed, blessed, gifted or in-tuned. Even though most people claimed to know them, but cannot really tell when any of the two spirits engulfed, overwhelmed, visited or ‘catch’ them, due to their spiritual deficiency or bankruptcy. To clarify the two spirits for the benefit of those who don’t know the difference, spirit of positivity is simply defined as, think no evil, see no evil, do no evil, be positive about everything around you and stay away from evil doers and nay Sayers. The spirit of Evil is simply defined as the opposite of spirit of positivity, full of hatred, destruction, Demons, witchcrafts, ‘Ogbanjes’, cultism, wickedness corruption, greed, crime, jealousy, wars, backwardness and retrogressiveness to mention few. As a Yoruba man, born and raised in Yoruba land with so many deities like Ogun, Yemoja, Obatala, Ifa, Sango, Orunmila to mention few. I, like my fore-fathers, believed that all of these deities were nothing but means of communicating, appealing and praying to the Creator (Oba Adeda, Eledumare, Oba Aseda, God or Allah) in our own traditional way before the arrival of the missionaries and the Jihadists, through celebrations, rituals and sacrifices. Contrary to general negative perception of these deities, sacrifices and rituals that I grew up experiencing like many of my generation in Yoruba land necessarily does not mean using human-beings, but usually perform with fowls, hens, goats, snails, palm-oil, palm wine, kola nuts, sugar-cane, bitter kola, ‘Aadun’ and various types of food like pounded yam (iyan), amala, eba and so on. Majority of participants at any of this traditional celebrations are usually people with different types of problems, for example, women looking for children (Barren women), people looking and praying for progress in their business, trade, profession e.t.c The last time I attended one of such traditional celebrations, was not in Ilesha (My home town) as you might expect, but rather in the “Big Apple” (Brooklyn, New York, USA). It was full of beautiful people, mostly professionals and ordinary individuals from African-American communities throughout US, other Yoruba sons and daughters from Brazil, Jamaica, Cuba, South America e.t.c all dressed in clean and pure white attires, regalia, caps and head gears, what a great experience for me as a Yoruba man. The reason why I’m making reference to this short traditional, spiritual and cultural experience with our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora is that, when people of positive minds come together for positive reasons regardless of their religion differences, great things could be accomplished collectively. On the other hand, when people pretend to be worshipping together with individual hidden and negative agendas, the results could be catastrophe, deceptive, destructive, dishonest and retrogressive. For example, my experience visiting and living in Nigeria on & off since 2004, spiritually has been so negative, confusing, disturbing and sometimes I wonder if the Creator (God or Allah) is not at war with us as people, why? Most of our Clerics, Clergy men & women always claim authority to God Almighty or Allah due to their assumptions that they’re either anointed, ordained or appointed to carry out miracles or magic on HIS behalf, using HIS name, when in actual fact majority of them are operating in disguise and pretence, using the power of Evil to carry out God’s miracles, maybe that’s the reason why God said in the Book of Bible that HIS wrath and punishment will start right inside the Churches, since HE is not as stupid and invisible as most of our so called “Men or Women of God” always believe, I don’t know what He said in the Book of Koran regarding this “Fake Prophets” of doomsday and magicians though, but I’m sure there must be a section of the Koran for the Evil messengers as well. On the other hand, we also have majority of those that goes to church or mosque in our society that always claim to know God or Allah, but their ways, attitudes and behaviors are usually opposite of what God or Allah stand for, they too like their Clerics and Clergy Men & Women, always pretend or disguise to be God fearing, Church goers, devoted Muslims or Holier than the Holy born-again or Christians, in actual fact, they are nothing but bunch of ‘Ogbanjes’, (Emere), Witches, Wizards, Vampires, Ritualists, Kidnappers and Blood-Suckers. These sects of so-called worshippers or followers usually call Allah or God’s name in vain hundred times daily, while cursing or inflicting pains on their fellow human beings using the name of the Devil uncountable times daily, Wow! what’s our society turning into? An Evil Empire? To imagine the multiple effects of these Evils spirits in our society, we have to recognize the fact that all these evil messengers are someone else wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, sisters and brothers. Another sect of Evil messengers in our society are the so-called Herbalists, Alfas and fortune tellers, who diverted their God given talents, creativity or knowledge of Koran, herbs, ‘Juju’, Ifa, Ogun, Orunmila, e.t.c to perpetrate evil on behalf of their clients, by raining evil curses, inflicting everlasting pains on innocent people, changing people’s destiny or stars in favor of their customers, engaging in satanic ritual killings to create fake wealth, fame and position of power To further understand and also imagine the negative effects and damages done by these Evil spirits to our collective psychic as people, society, national, state and local developments, one need to sit down, look around, think about different levels of retrogressiveness in our immediate environment and our society at-large. We cannot but also think of different types of evils in our society; i) Corruption & Greed: Ones mind must be controlled by the devil to acquire Billions of Dollars or Naira through looting & stealing of public and private funds. Since Billions of Naira will benefit thousands of people through job creations and developments, for such funds to end up in only one hand or pocket is nothing more than mere wickedness, while greed or stealing is just an under statement. As a result of this evil and ungodly act, our society courtesy of these evil minded, lazy, and low self-esteem cowards, is now witnessing different levels of poverty, joblessness, hopelessness which most of the time lead to criminal activities like armed robbery, prostitution, 419, cultism, ritual killings and so on, courtesy of the Evil spirits in our midst. ii) Secret Cultism: As a result, we now have new generations of visionless, unpatriotic, no wisdom, in-human, insensitive leaders walking around as the most honorable in our society. Nigeria as a nation continue to move or drift backwardly in all aspects of life and development, still, our leaders are either fine with the way things are or doesn’t have a clue spiritually, politically and economically for solutions to our uncountable self inflicted problems, why? Because, most of them are either serving and daily worshipping the Devil to keep themselves in power, spiritually bankrupt not to be able to know that the nation is “Under Siege” by evils spirits, what else do we need as people to know that;
Common on people, how much more destructions, carnages, wickedness, corruptions, greed and hopelessness do we need to convince ourselves that the land called Nigeria is under siege and being invaded by the Devil and his Angels, constructing and building their headquarter and branches in our land on a daily basis?
I’m using this opportunity to challenge all God or Allah fearing individuals, spiritual and religious groups among us to fight these Devil and his messengers openly without any fear or reservations. As usual, I’m on my kneels daily, praying and meditating to the Creator to “Save Our Souls” in Nigeria from the invasions of these Creeps, Vampires, Dracula’s, Blood-Suckers, and Angels of systematic and total destruction of our father’s land. To bring back the spirits of hope, trust, honesty, love, caring, sharing and positivity to our society at large. Of course, to achieve these goals, I will suggest to our spiritual and religious leaders to apply every means within their reach e.g. prayers, night vigils, fasting, positive sacrifices & rituals if necessary to appeal to the Creator (God/Allah), to save our souls in Nigeria, to forgive our numerous sins, to bring back our lost glories in the comity of nations, and finally to give us as people and nation, hope for a brighter future. The time of religion discrimination or superiority is over, since what’s on the ground zero has proven that no one religion can rescue our situation right now in Nigeria, but rather coming together of all faiths.
